For our lessons, we guarantee that if you’re not satisfied after your initial lesson, we’ll refund you in full. No questions asked. However, because we can’t control your training at home, we don’t guarantee results from our lesson programs. These lessons are designed to provide you with the skills and confidence to train your dog yourself.
For our board and train program, we guarantee that by the end of your dog’s stay, they’ll be reliably following all the commands we advertise on our website. Plus, we offer free lifetime training refreshers! If you ever feel your dog isn’t listening as well as they did after training, just let us know and we’ll schedule a refresher session at no cost.
Absolutely! Most behavior issues—like biting, chewing, and jumping—stem from a lack of exercise, discipline, or simply boredom. Our training program helps your dog build strong obedience skills while letting them enjoy the freedom of running and playing off-leash. So, your dog will stay active, mentally stimulated, and well-disciplined. This not only benefits your dog, but also brings peace of mind to you and your family.
Remember: if your dog doesn’t have a job to do through training, they’ll find one themselves—and that can end up costing you!
An e-collar is a collar with a built-in stimulation mechanism, similar to the E-Stim therapy you’d get at a chiropractor. Controlled by a remote, it lets you manage your dog’s behavior from up to 400 yards away—giving your dog freedom to explore without you worrying about them running off.
It’s important to note that an e-collar isn’t a punishment or “shock” tool—it’s a training aid for communication. It sends a gentle electrical pulse between two contact points on the collar, much like a tickle. In the past, some people misused them as shock collars to scare dogs into submission, but that’s not what we do here. Our proven method uses the e-collar like a gentle tap on the shoulder or a phone vibrating in your pocket—just enough to get your dog’s attention and keep them focused.
This is the same training method used by top law enforcement, military, and federal agencies for their patrol, detection, and search-and-rescue dogs!
No, it won’t. In our first session, we’ll actually place the e-collar on your arm so you can feel how mild the stimulation is—it’s surprisingly gentle. We’ll even demonstrate by using it on ourselves to show you it won’t hurt your dog.
One common myth is that e-collars can burn your dog’s skin, or that they’re like a taser shock—neither is true. We’re dog trainers because we love dogs and would never do anything to hurt them. In fact, we never do anything with your dog that we wouldn’t try on ourselves first.
No, your dog won’t need to wear the e-collar all the time. Indoors, your dog will quickly learn to listen to your commands without it. However, we always recommend using the e-collar anytime your dog is off-leash outside.
That’s because you never know what might distract your dog when they’re outdoors. The e-collar works like an invisible leash, giving you control even when your dog is far away. Think of it like a seatbelt for your child—something you always use just in case. One moment of distraction can lead to danger, so it’s best to have that backup in place.
No! In fact, most dog owners are surprised when their dogs have the exact opposite reaction. When you turn on the e-collar, it makes a little beeping sound—and pretty soon, your dog will learn that the beep means it’s time for fun and training! Many dogs will come running and sit right in front of you, waiting for you to put it on.
Why? Because the e-collar means they’re going outside to run, play, explore, and learn! The valuable training they get is just a bonus. Remember, a bored dog is a destructive dog, but a trained and exercised dog is a happy dog. Training sessions keep them mentally and physically stimulated, which dogs absolutely love. Just like us, a dog with something fun to do stays focused and fulfilled.
Please contact your local OLK9 Certified Trainer to find out exactly where they’ll be holding the training sessions.
Generally, we prefer not to train dogs in their own homes. Why? Because it is a familiar environment. Training your dog in a new and unfamiliar place with lots of distractions helps them learn to listen anywhere—not just at home.
The great thing about this training is that you don’t need to set aside a strict amount of time every day. We’ll show you how to weave this training right into your daily routine until it is as easy, natural, and stress-free as walking, playing, and bonding with your pup.
Our private lessons are each 60 minutes long and are usually scheduled once a week. Depending on the package you choose, you’ll have either 4 or 8 weeks of training.
For our board and train programs, we offer two options: a 7-day or a 14-day stay. This way, you can choose the plan that best fits your dog’s needs and your schedule.
We generally begin e-collar training once your dog is at least 5 months old. That’s the ideal time for them to start learning in a safe, positive way.
That’s no problem! We’ll start your pup with the clicker and treat method to build a strong foundation for basic obedience. We can also help you with house training, so your puppy learns to let you know when they need to go outside and avoid accidents in the house.
Yes, it does! E-collar training works for dogs of any size, shape, or breed, as long as they’re over 5 months old. Even the tiniest dogs can learn and benefit from the training, so your pup will be in good hands.
